Your Therapy Questions, Answered
I work with teens and adults, especially immigrants, children of immigrants, international students, and culturally diverse clients, seeking therapy for anxiety, trauma, chronic stress, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, identity concerns, and major life transitions. Therapy is tailored to your needs and cultural context.
Yes. I offer culturally responsive, trauma-informed therapy that considers the impact of culture, migration, family systems, and intergenerational traumas. You don’t need to explain or justify your background. Therapy is a space to be understood as you are.
I use an integrative, evidence-based approach to therapy, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic therapy, and person-centered therapy to support anxiety, emotional regulation, relationship concerns, and identity exploration. I also offer EMDR therapy for trauma and past experiences. All treatment is culturally responsive and tailored to your goals.
No. Many people start therapy not because of a crisis, but because they feel stuck, exhausted, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves. Therapy can help you manage stress, navigate anxiety, improve emotional regulation, and find clarity, even when life seems stable on the outside. It’s a space to process both everyday pressures and deeper experiences.
My current fee for individual and couples therapy is $150. I also offer a sliding scale to make therapy more affordable.
I am an out-of-network provider. I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement, depending on your plan. Please reach out with any questions, and I'm happy to work with you to make therapy as accessible as possible.
Clients commonly seek therapy for anxiety, chronic stress, emotional overwhelm, people-pleasing patterns, boundary difficulties, identity confusion, and relationship issues. Therapy can help address internal struggles that may not be visible to others.
Yes. I offer EMDR therapy, an evidence-based approach that helps process past experiences that continue to affect the present. EMDR can be especially helpful for people with trauma, chronic anxiety, or long-term stress related to migration, identity, or early life experiences. The best way to tell is through a brief consultation. We can discuss your goals and see if my approach and expertise feel like a good fit for your needs; if I feel I’m not the best person to offer you support, I will provide recommendations for other therapists who may better suit your specific journey.
The first therapy session is an intake and assessment session where we get the chance to get to know each other. We'll talk about your concerns, therapy goals, and relevant background. There’s no pressure to share everything at once; we’ll move at your pace. It’s also a chance to ask any questions about the therapy process.

Most clients attend weekly therapy sessions, especially at the beginning of treatment, though biweekly sessions may be appropriate depending on your needs and circumstances. We’ll decide together what feels right.

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or feel the need to make some changes to your life, therapy may be a helpful step. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy.
The length of therapy varies depending on your goals. Some clients benefit from short-term solution-focused therapy, while others engage in longer-term psychotherapy for deeper exploration and growth.
